With a proven record track record of growing jobs through startups, this seven-month business model competition is heading into its fifth year of inspiring an increase in the quality and quantity of entrepreneurial endeavors in Tulsa. Over $400,000 in cash and prizes have been awarded to date.
Tulsa Global Entrepreneurship Week
Each November, Global Entrepreneurship Week connects people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators. Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.
i2E, Inc.
A private not-for-profit corporation focused on growing technology-based companies in Oklahoma and making a positive impact on the state’s economy. i2e works directly with entrepreneurs, researchers and companies to help them commercialize their technologies, launch and grow new businesses and provide access needed to capital.
The Tulseys
Part Webby’s and part MTV Music Award, this online award program inspires local citizens to nominate and vote on entrepreneurs in 10 categories. Heading into its third year the award celebration recognizes the heroes, pioneers and innovators of the Tulsa region. Winners of a Tulsey Award receive a bronze Golden Driller representing the entrepreneurial excellence of Tulsa.
Tulsa Startup Weekend
A 54-hour event where developers, coders, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and create startups. Tulsa Startup Weekend is weekendlong, hands-on experiment where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable.
TCC Launch
Launch has been specifically designed to accelerate the startup process by walking people interested in the entrepreneurial journey through the steps required to build a company. The Launch program consists of sixteen weekly experiential business-building sessions designed to support development of a startup from the core business model through the bootstrapping process.
Tulsa Economic Development Corporation
In 2005, we began to do business as TEDC Creative Capital, reflecting our greatly expanded range of programs and geographic reach. Today, we make or facilitate loans ranging from $5,000 to $10 million, using public and private funds. Our mission remains the same as it was at our founding: to create economic vitality in communities by encouraging small business growth.
Fab Lab Tulsa
The Hardesty Center for Fab Lab Tulsa is a non-profit entity collaborating with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to assemble a diverse collection of state-of-the-art equipment and computers into one workspace as a new community center for innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEM education.
IgniteTulsa
Described as an “open mic night for geeks,” Ignite Tulsa is an evening of networking, education and entertainment with lighting fast presentations on a variety of topics. Speakers have five minutes to talk about something they are passionate about using 20 slides set to auto advance every 15 seconds. Our motto: Enlighten us but make it quick!
TEDxTulsa
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is call TEDxTulsa, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxTulsa event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup
The Donald W. Reynolds Governor’s Cup Collegiate Business Plan Competition is designed to encourage students of Oklahoma universities and colleges to act upon their entrepreneurial ideas and develop skills to lead tomorrow’s innovative new businesses.

OSU Bootcamp
The Cowboy Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs is a pragmatic program for Oklahomans seriously interested in launching their own ventures and those in the early stages of start-up. The program occurs over six consecutive Saturday mornings at the OSU-Tulsa campus. It features award-winning faculty, highly successful entrepreneurs, and a number of subject matter experts

StartUpTulsa
A publicly and privately-funded entrepreneurial economy-building endeavor of the Tulsa Economic Development Commission who’s mission is to accelerate the growth of a culture of startups generating locally grown jobs, enhancing and expanding Tulsa’s entrepreneurial economy. Develop and grow programs tailored to the specific needs of Tulsa entrepreneurs while supporting existing entrepreneurial programs.
